Another excellent talk at the Oxford Martin School - on Donut Economics and the metabolism of humanity in the Anthropocene. The main challenge appears to be whether our societies and governance mechanisms can consciously manage our human activities at global scale to operate with the safe and just space in the donut before global environmental catastrophes force changes onto us in much more painful ways than would be the case through self-managed changes.
